SARTEC has developed several applications of automatic valves based on density difference, suitable for applications where water and hydrocarbons are present.
The two standard applications developed are the following:
- Drain valves of RTD type (Roof Tank Drainer) that allow the drainage of raining water from hydrocarbon tank roofs, avoiding the accidental discharge of the hydrocarbons inside the tank;
- Drain valves of BTD type (Bottom Tank Drainer) that allow the automatic drainage of water present in the hydrocarbon tank bottom; they automatically block in case hydrocarbons are present.
