The event served to collect project ideas from the refining industry and to discuss key sector-specific issues with regard to the selection and management of future projects under the Fund.
The main objective of the workshop was for the industry to provide input to design the elements for the first call of proposals in 2020.
Among the participants, representatives of the main refining groups in Europe were present, such as SARAS, Econor, Shell, BP, Exxon, Repsol, Lotos, OMV, Galp, PKN and Preem.
The companies have been invited to present briefly their low-carbon projects, including a description of the basic features of the projects, such as the innovative technology and final products, its technological readiness level, expected GHG emission reductions and project development timeline.
Sartec presented the development of a process analyzer for refinery applications and within the context of process control solutions for a more efficient use of resources and increase competiveness and sustainability.
